We are seeking a proactive and patient-focused individual to deliver a comprehensive appointment booking service and oversee the smooth operation of all radiology reception desks. The successful candidate will ensure that desk activities are managed efficiently and in line with departmental protocols.This role requires a strong commitment to patient care, aligning with both departmental standards and the national booking programme. The post holder must possess a thorough understanding of radiology investigations, booking procedures, and relevant information systems to support seamless service delivery.Main duties of the jobWhile prior NHS experience is desirable, it is not essential. The ideal candidate will demonstrate:
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including a professional telephone manner
  • Strong IT proficiency, with knowledge of Epic systems considered an advantage
  • A flexible approach to working, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and with patients
  • Confidence in working independently as well as part of a team
  • The ability to manage a high-volume workload, prioritise tasks, and meet strict deadlines
  • Attention to detail and resilience under pressure
