Start Date: From September 2025Supply Desk is currently working with a variety of primary and secondary schools across Eastbourne to recruit Behaviour Support Assistants. This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals who are passionate about supporting children and young people, particularly those who may face challenges with behaviour or emotional regulation.As well as applicants with school-based experience and qualifications; we are also interested in hearing from people who may not have direct school-based experience but bring transferable skills from roles such as youth work, sports coaching, mentoring, residential care, or community outreach.About the RoleAs a Behaviour Support Assistant, your primary role will be to work closely with students who need additional support in managing their behaviour and engaging with learning. You'll be based either in the classroom or working with small groups and individuals outside of the main lesson environment. You'll work alongside teaching staff and pastoral teams to ensure that every student has the support they need to thrive in school.Key responsibilities may include:Supporting students with behaviour, social skills, and emotional regulationAssisting in the delivery of targeted intervention strategiesProviding consistent encouragement and acting as a positive role modelWorking closely with teaching and pastoral staff to adapt support plans as neededPromoting inclusion and helping students re-engage with learningWho We’re Looking ForWe welcome applicants from a range of backgrounds.
