This permanent role supports various offshore and onshore projects, ensuring efficient and safe scaffolding solutions across diverse energy markets.Key Responsibilities:
- Designing complex and large-scale access scaffolds, temporary roofs, habitats, and load-bearing structures for offshore and onshore sites.
- Consulting with clients and site teams to resolve and design major structural scaffold requirements.
- Preparing design drawings, technical guidance, calculations, and detailing of structural scaffolds in line with British and European standards.
- Conducting regular site surveys and follow-up reporting for onshore and offshore installations.
- Adhering to internal processes and procedures to ensure compliance and safety.
- Promoting scaffold design services and innovations within the company.
- Developing and maintaining strong working relationships with clients and operational team members.
- Supporting the development and implementation of workpacks related to scaffold design, including estimating, risk assessments, and design checks.
- Experience in scaffolding and temporary works design.
- Recognised competence in scaffolding safety (CITB).
- Previous role in engineering or relevant engineering degree (HNC or above in Structural/Civil/Mechanical Engineering).
- Proficiency with AutoCAD software and Microsoft Office applications.
- Understanding of structural mechanics and scaffold design principles.
- Desirable: Temporary works/scaffold design experience, industrial scaffold experience, structural analysis software knowledge, 3D CAD modelling experience, and relevant safety certifications such as BOSIET, MIST, and Medical.
