Children’s Centre Early Years Practitioner- East LondonAre you a passionate, dedicated Early Years Practitioner looking for your next role? 4Recruitment Services are recruiting an Early Years Practitioner to join the team based in East LondonFull time Post 36 hours per week£13.70-£17.13 per hour Umbrella RatesAbout the Service:Contribute to Children's Centre core offer by achieving Development Matters outcomes and objectives aligned with Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) statutory framework, and Redbridge Council's strategies and action plans relevant to Early Years.Information on the Role:
  • Work collaboratively with the Children's Centres and Early Years Play and Development (EYPaD) Centre Teams to deliver high-quality services and improve outcomes for children and families.
  • Facilitate groups for families with children under 5 years based on Development Matters and EYFS framework.
  • Identify families who may require additional support, provide information about local services and / or sign-post or refer to Children’s Centres.
  • Offer parents advice and guidance to optimise their visit and promote home learning in line with Children's Centres core offer.
  • Ensure that session objectives are achieved and actively identify, document, and address opportunities for future enhancements
  • Be willing to undertake reasonable responsibilities and provide coverage for colleagues when necessary
  • Keep the equipment clean, secure, and well-maintained, promptly reporting any damages to the local manager or supervisor
  • Maintaining client records and archive systems in accordance with departmental procedure, policy and statutory requirements
Essential Requirements:
  • Experience of direct work with children aged 0 to 4 years of age and their families
  • A sound working knowledge of the Children Act, Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) Statutory Guidance and Development Matters.
  • Good organisational skills
  • Good IT skills
  • Excellent written and communication skills
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service
