- Work collaboratively with the Children's Centres and Early Years Play and Development (EYPaD) Centre Teams to deliver high-quality services and improve outcomes for children and families.
- Facilitate groups for families with children under 5 years based on Development Matters and EYFS framework.
- Identify families who may require additional support, provide information about local services and / or sign-post or refer to Children’s Centres.
- Offer parents advice and guidance to optimise their visit and promote home learning in line with Children's Centres core offer.
- Ensure that session objectives are achieved and actively identify, document, and address opportunities for future enhancements
- Be willing to undertake reasonable responsibilities and provide coverage for colleagues when necessary
- Keep the equipment clean, secure, and well-maintained, promptly reporting any damages to the local manager or supervisor
- Maintaining client records and archive systems in accordance with departmental procedure, policy and statutory requirements
- Experience of direct work with children aged 0 to 4 years of age and their families
- A sound working knowledge of the Children Act, Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) Statutory Guidance and Development Matters.
- Good organisational skills
- Good IT skills
- Excellent written and communication skills
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service
