- Drive Business Growth: Lead the development and execution of strategies to generate and convert new business opportunities
- Leverage Government Schemes: Maintain a strong understanding of ECO4, GBIS and Warm homes programmes to identify and maximise funding opportunities. Keep abreast of policy developments which could affect funding mechanisms
- Expand Sales Channels: Identify and develop new referral partnerships, broker relationships, and strategic industry alliances
- Manage End-to-End Sales: Oversee the full sales cycle from lead generation through to deal closure, ensuring a seamless client experience
- Achieve Sales Targets: Consistently deliver against KPIs and revenue objectives. Identify and close cross selling opportunities
- Market Analysis: Monitor policy, regulatory, and industry trends to inform business development strategy
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams including operations, marketing, and finance to ensure effective service delivery and project implementation.
Must have
- Demonstrable experience in sales, business development, or account management (preferably within energy efficiency, sustainability, housing, or related sectors)
- Strong knowledge of ECO4, GBIS, and wider government-backed energy schemes
- Excellent relationship-building, negotiation, and communication skills
- Strategic thinker with a results-driven, self-starter approach
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across teams
- Skilled at identifying market opportunities and navigating complex stakeholder environments
- Existing network within housing associations, local authorities, or the property/retrofit sector
- Familiarity with retrofit technologies, renewable energy solutions, or home energy efficiency improvements
