- Maintenance and servicing: Performing regular maintenance and repair work on laboratory equipment and systems to ensure optimal performance and extended service life
- Fault diagnosis: Identifying and analysing technical faults in devices and systems, troubleshooting, and carrying out the necessary repairs
- Installation and commissioning: Installing and commissioning new equipment, including training laboratory personnel in its proper use and operation
- Customer support: Providing technical assistance and advice to customers, ensuring a high level of service and satisfaction
- Documentation: Accurately recording all work carried out, including service reports and technical documentation
- Spare parts management: Managing the procurement, replacement, and stock of spare parts as needed
- Quality assurance: Ensuring all equipment meets relevant quality standards and compliance regulations
- Logistics: Coordinating the delivery and installation of equipment to laboratories or medical practices
- Sales support: Supporting the sales team through participation in national trade fairs and congresses, as well as maintaining close collaboration with sales colleagues
- Completed training in electrical engineering, medical technology, mechatronics, or a comparable technical qualification
- Proven experience in the maintenance and repair of laboratory diagnostic equipment, ideally within the medical technology or laboratory sector
- Strong technical aptitude with the ability to quickly understand and diagnose complex systems
- A self-motivated, solution-focused approach and a high degree of personal initiative
- Excellent communication skills, both when engaging with clients and collaborating within a team environment
- Willingness to travel extensively across the UK and flexibility to support a variety of customer sites as required
- Solid IT proficiency, including MS Office, service software, and experience with laboratory or practice information systems
- Ideally based in the central UK (e.g. Birmingham or Manchester region); a full UK driving licence (Category B) is essential
