We are recruiting Teaching Assistants to join a specialist Alternative Provision in Garston (L19) that supports young people aged 14 to 24. This setting provides tailored education and guidance for students who benefit from learning outside of a mainstream environment, including those with Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs).The provision offers a study programme for 1416-year-olds and a youth hub for ages 1624, focused on employment readiness, training, and re-engagement in education. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who wants to make a meaningful difference in young lives, especially for those facing barriers to education.Key Responsibilities:
Provide 1:1 and small group support across vocational and academic sessionsSupport learners with emotional regulation, life skills, and engagement in learningCollaborate with teachers, trainers, and support staff to deliver personalised education plansPromote independence and employability skills through structured guidance and mentoringRequirements:
Minimum of 6 months classroom experience in the UKExperience supporting young people with SEMH needs, NEET backgrounds, or EHCPs is desirableStrong communication skills and a calm, encouraging presencePassionate about inclusion, re-engagement, and positive outcomes for young peopleEligibility:
