Roll: 260InformationThe Governing Body of St Mary's RC Primary School is looking for an excellent teacher for Key Stage 1 Teacher (Year 1 class). This post will have subject leadership responsibility and therefore is not suitable for ECTs.
We are looking for someone who:
  • has experience of the primary curriculum
  • has some knowledge of the EYFS curriculum
  • can manage skilled, experienced support staff
  • can deliver exciting lessons where progress in learning is always evident
  • has good knowledge of assessment tracking systems and expectations related to these
  • can contribute whole heartedly to the life of the school
  • will support and respect our Catholic ethos
  • has high expectations of behaviour and effort but will also nurture and respect our children

Essential Experience
  • Evidence of strong teaching in a primary school setting, particularly in Key Stage 1
  • Adapting teaching to assist pupils with a range of abilities
  • Experience of assessment, tracking and target setting
  • Successful deployment of teaching assistants or other adults in the classroom to support learning
Desirable Experience
  • Subject leadership experience
