As a Behaviour Support Assistant, this role is perfect for someone passionate about helping students overcome behavioural and emotional challenges to succeed both in and out of the classroom.Responsibilities as a Behaviour Support Assistant:
  • Provide 1:1 and group support to pupils with behavioural or SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) needs.
  • Support teachers in implementing behaviour management strategies.
  • Build strong, trusting relationships to help pupils develop positive behaviours and self-regulation skills.
  • Monitor student progress and provide feedback to teaching and pastoral staff.
  • Promote a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environment.
Requirements for Behaviour Support Assistant:
  • Previous experience in a school, youth work, or support environment.
  • Patience, resilience, and excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to de-escalate challenging situations calmly and effectively.
  • A valid Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
  • A CV covering the last 10 years of employment history, with any gaps explained.
