We enhance and extend asset life, ensuring compliance with water quality and environmental standards. We're problem solvers with over 140 years of combined experience in engineering and infrastructure.This role will join BGEN - one of the UK's largest multidisciplinary design and build contractors with over 100 years of industry experience. We support clients in the water, power & energy, pharmaceutical, nuclear and food and beverage industries to deliver next generation, value-added engineering solutions.Want to be apart of it?What will you be doing?You will join us in driving excellence across construction projects, ensuring great value and solid contract performance for BGEN.You'll work closely with teams to uphold commercial governance, expertly handle NEC and FIDIC contracts, and lead negotiations for favorable terms.From site valuations and payment applications to budgeting, forecasting, and material procurement, your input will be key.You'll have hands-on experience in managing pricing, documentation, and subcontractor claims.You will be collaborating with site staff and supporting senior reporting, at the heart of smooth project delivery.Your commercial expertise helps keep everything running on track - and makes a real difference.What you'll bring:
  • Strong commercial focus
  • Experience with FIDIC and NEC contracts
  • Claims handling expertise
  • Relevant degree or equivalent industry experience
  • Chartered status or working towards it
  • 5+ years as a QS on large projects
  • Nuclear experience (preferred, not essential)
  • CSCS MAPS or CCNSG certification
  • Ability to pass security vetting
