We’re thrilled to be working with a forward-thinking and inclusive secondary school in Beaconsfield, celebrated for its academic excellence, supportive culture, and student-centred approach. The school is looking for a dynamic and passionate English Teacher who can help students turn the page on their learning journey and write their own success stories.Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and well-structured English lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4 (KS5 experience is a bonus).
- Create a classroom environment where students feel safe to express themselves, explore ideas, and develop a love for literature.
- Use formative and summative assessment to track progress and provide constructive feedback — no red pen rage here!
- Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and contribute to a creative and cohesive English department.
- Encourage students to read between the lines, think critically, and develop strong communication skills.
- Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and has experience teaching English at secondary level (desirable but not essential)
- A true grammar guru with a knack for making Shakespeare sparkle and punctuation pop.
- Strong understanding of the national curriculum and differentiation strategies.
- Excellent classroom management and interpersonal skills — you know how to keep things poetic, not chaotic.
- A valid DBS certificate registered on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one.
- Committed to professional development and always looking to turn the next page in your teaching career.
