The role demands a proactive approach, with responsibilities including:- Shaping early project stages with feasibility studies and system layouts.
- Architecting thermal and fluid systems, complete with detailed schematics.
- Applying engineering principles to develop models that predict system performance.
- Translating project requirements into system specifications using Siemens Polarion.
- Spearheading component selection in tandem with procurement for optimal supplier engagement.
- Orchestrating with electrical & controls teams to establish hardware compatibility and control strategies.
- Crafting DFMEA and system validation plans, including DVP documentation.
- Assisting mechanical development teams with test procedures and data analysis.
- Steering external supplier contributions to align with project goals.
- Generating comprehensive technical reports and customer-facing documentation.
- Showcasing results and research strategies to customers and stakeholders.Candidates should possess:- Relevant working experience.
- A degree in Mechanical, Automotive, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field.
- Profound understanding of thermodynamics and fluid circuit design.
- Familiarity with various system types, including air, water, and hydraulic systems.
- Proficiency in 3D CAD and PLM tools, preferably NX and Team Centre.
- Exceptional communication skills.
- A proactive approach to managing workloads and resolving complex issues.
