We are particularly interested in applicants with expertise in one or more of the following areas: financial accounting and reporting; audit and assurance; management accounting; corporate governance; non financial reporting (ESG/sustainability reporting); financial management; and business case studies.Applicants should either hold a professional accounting qualification (e.g., ICAEW, ACCA) or a PhD in a relevant accounting discipline (or be nearing completion). Applicants must demonstrate a clear commitment to developing their profile in teaching and pedagogic scholarship. We are particularly keen to hear from candidates with a proven ability to deliver high-quality teaching in accounting and to contribute to the advancement of pedagogic practice in the discipline.   • To provide high quality teaching and learning and student support
  • Mentor and support students throughout their studies in the role of personal tutor
  • Set and mark assessment of modules in accordance with University standards and utilise on-line and digitised curricula and education frameworks

  • Evidence or the potential to provide an outstanding educational experience, rooted in strong disciplinary knowledge that engages, challenges, and inspires our students
  • Evidence of delivering research-led teaching, making effective use of technology to enhance learning in one or more of the following areas: financial accounting and reporting; audit and assurance; management accounting; corporate governance; non financial reporting (ESG/sustainability reporting); financial management; and business case studies
  • Evidence or potential for internationalising the curricula
  • Ability to engage with external stakeholders, generating real-world impact from research
  • Commitment to interdisciplinary working
  • Evidence of or the potential for effective use of disciplinary and proactive scholarship

Lecturer Grade GIn addition to providing evidence of your previous experience of the criteria above, to be considered for a Grade G Lectureship you must also meet the follow criteria:
  • Substantial experience of designing and delivering high quality teaching and learning material, resources and activities for students in academia or professional accounting education
  • A track record of engaging with external stakeholders, generating real-world impact from research
  • Evidence of your contribution to the Accounting and Financial Management Subject Group or discipline
  • Ability to undertake a management and leadership role
  • Evidence of active academic citizenship
QualificationsLecturer Grade F
  • A good Honours degree (or equivalent)
Plus, one of the following:
  • PhD (or equivalent) at or near completion (strictly within three months of submission at time of application) in a relevant subject; or
  • Professional accounting qualification e.g. ICAEW, ACCA
  • HE teaching qualification (or equivalent experience) (Desirable)
Lecturer Grade G
  • A good Honours degree (or equivalent)
  • HE teaching qualification (or equivalent experience)
Plus, one of the following:
