Wire Person – Electrical Assembly / Panel Wiring – Workshop-Based – Immediate StartJob Title: Contract Wire PersonAre you a Wire Person, Panel Wirer, or Electrical Assembler looking for contract work in a busy technical workshop? We’re recruiting experienced contractors to support the build and test of power distribution units (PDUs), electrical panels, and custom cable assemblies for high-profile projects in the live events and broadcast sectors.This is a hands-on role ideal for freelance wirepersons, electrician’s mates, or technical fitters with strong wiring skills and availability for immediate start.Key Responsibilities:Wire and assemble mains power distribution boxes, panels, and racks from schematicsStrip cables, crimp terminals, and install sockets/connectors using hand toolsCut and prepare cable to required lengths and configurationsOperate testing equipment and assist with fault-finding and repairsMaintain high standards of quality control, safety, and workshop disciplineWork independently or as part of a contractor team to meet build schedulesRequirements:Proven experience in electrical wiring, panel building, or technical assemblyAbility to read wiring diagrams and work with minimal supervisionStrong attention to detail and reliability under pressureOwn basic hand tools (preferred)Previous contract work as a Wire Person, Electrician’s Mate, or Panel Wirer highly desirableWhat’s On Offer:Competitive contractor rates (Ltd or Umbrella)Flexible working hours and potential for overtimeOngoing contract work with repeat opportunitiesExposure to technical builds for major UK events and installationsKeywords: Contract Wire Person, Freelance Panel Wirer, Electrical Assembler, Electrician’s Mate, Wiring Technician, Electrical Fitter, Power Distribution, Temporary Wiring Jobs, Workshop Technician, Event Power
