
Mechanical Pipe Fitter

- Install, maintain, and repair pumping equipment, including centrifugal pumps, positive displacement pumps, and associated piping systems
- Conduct site surveys and assessments to determine project requirements and develop installation plans
- Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics to ensure accurate installation and maintenance of equipment
- Perform pipe fitting tasks, including measuring, cutting, threading, and welding pipes to precise specifications
- Install and align pumps, motors, and other mechanical components according to manufacturer guidelines and industry standards
- Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with pumping systems, identifying root causes and implementing effective solutions
- Conduct preventive maintenance on pumping equipment to ensure optimal performance and longevity
- Prepare detailed reports on installation, maintenance, and repair activities, including recommendations for system improvements
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineers, project managers, and other technicians, to ensure successful project completion
- Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies, promoting a culture of safety in the workplace
- Provide technical guidance and support to junior team members, fostering a collaborative work environment
- Stay updated on industry trends, new technologies, and best practices in pumping systems and pipe fitting
- Manage inventory of tools, equipment, and materials required for job sites
- Respond to emergency service calls and provide on-call support as needed
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in mechanical fitting and pipe fitting, preferably in industrial settings
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics
- Strong knowledge of pumping systems, including centrifugal and positive displacement pumps
- Expertise in pipe fitting techniques, including measuring, cutting, threading, and welding
- Familiarity with various piping materials and their applications
- Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment related to pipe fitting and mechanical work
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think critically in challenging situations
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
