CLASS 2 DRIVERFRIDAY - MONDAY: 0600 START TIMES£16 - £19 PER HOURPeople Solutions are currently recruiting for a Class 2 Driver to join our well-established client based in Motherwell and the surrounding areas. Day to Day Duties:Your duties as a Class 2 Driver will involve having to:
  • Operate and drive various Class 2 vehicles in a safe and efficient manner to and from delivery locations
  • Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
  • Ensure all cargo is loaded and secured properly
  • Adhere to traffic laws and regulations
  • Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers
  • Report any vehicle defects or maintenance needs to management
  • Assist with loaded and unloading of cargo as needed
Essential Skills:As a Class 2 Driver you will need to:
  • Hold a valid UK Category C Driving Licence
  • Have a minimum of twelve months experience driving Category C vehicles
  • No more than six penalty points for minor infringements and no major endorsement codes
  • Hold a valid UK CPC Card and UK Digi Card
  • Must be able to speak and read a good level of English
  • Punctuality and excellent time keeping skills
  • Have a good understanding of traffic laws and regulations
  • Effective communication skills
Desirable Experience:
  • Experience driving any commercial vehicles
  • Previous experience conducting multi drop deliveries
Training:
  • Driving assessment must be passed
  • Following the driving assessment, there will be a one day paid induction
  • Industry related training and support throughout
