🔹 Rate: £34-£38 per hour (dependent on experience)
🔹 Contract: Temporary (initial 3-6 months with potential for extension)
🔹 Start Date: ASAP📝 About the Role:As a BIA, you will be responsible for undertaking DoLS assessments under the Mental Capacity Act (MCA), ensuring all decisions made are in the best interests of the individual. You'll work closely with care providers, families, and other professionals to ensure lawful and ethical care planning.✅ Key Responsibilities:Undertake Best Interests Assessments as part of the DoLS processCollaborate with Section 12 doctors and other relevant professionalsProvide clear, evidence-based recommendations and reportsEnsure assessments comply with legal and ethical standardsMaintain accurate, detailed, and timely records and documentation🎓 Requirements:Qualified Best Interests Assessor with valid BIA accreditationCurrent Social Work England, NMC, or HCPC registration (as applicable)In-depth knowledge of the Mental Capacity Act, DoLS, and relevant case lawStrong assessment, analysis, and report-writing skillsExperience working in adult social care or mental health settings preferred💼 What's on Offer:Competitive pay between £34-£38 per hourFull-time hours with flexible/hybrid working optionsSupportive and collaborative working environmentOpportunity to work within a respected and well-structured DoLS serviceRandstad Care acts as an employment business when supplying temporary staff and as an employment agency when introducing candidates for permanent employment with a client.
