We are working with a highly successful multi-disciplinary consultancy who are seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor/Project Manager to join their team in Manchester. They currently have an opportunity to be part of their top-ranking quantity surveying team where you will be delivering high-profile projects and will be managing Developments in Manchester, the North and Nationally.This role offers an exciting opportunity to strengthen your Quantity Surveying & Project Management skills and experience.Their current projects include: £300 million leisure project in Blackpool, £70 million theatre project, residential schemes, car park refurbishments, school refurbishments and multiple retail developments.What you will do:· Undertake QS pre and post contract roles for project related work;· Provide EA, PM services as may be required for project related work;· Provide cost advisory support to Building Consultancy and other business units;· Undertake Reinstatement Cost Assessments for insurance purposes;· Work alongside specialists in the preparation of development appraisals· Conducting feasibility studies, advising on procurement strategies and contract selection, writing and undertaking procurement reports. Applying the value management techniques at the outset of a project.· Managing, estimating and cost planning activities to include taking ownership of and presenting the final cost plan.· Ensuring that final accounts are negotiated and agreed.· Being a key interface with client, stakeholders and other consultants at all project stages.· Handling of contractual frameworks and standard form of contract.· Manage the monitoring and reporting on progress of the projects to all stakeholders, while being able to present reports defining project progress, problems, solutions and any changes.What you will need:· Previous experience in a cost consultancy practice in a similar role.
