Job Category: Not ApplicableJob Description:Protection and Prevention Development, Assurance and Body Worn Video Officer | 8701 | Fixed Term Contract 12 Months | 37 hours per week | £39,562 to £41,771 per annum | Grade J | WymondhamWe are advertising for someone to work within our Protection and Prevention department covering two very important aspects of our job.Training, and quality assurance are vital to our teams that work in the community. This role will support that work by helping manage the courses and training for both teams. This work involves putting together processes to track and book courses as well as develop training plans for the teams. It will also focus on ensuring that the service meets its requirements for quality assurance of the community safety and fire safety departments. This may require carrying out some of these assessments in line with the successful individual's competence levels.Norfolk Fire and Rescue Service are currently working to procure a new body worn video cameras and support system. The successful applicant will work to help implement and manage that system, assisting with training of staff to use the cameras and the system that allows for editing of footage and storage of evidence. They will work with other departments to help with freedom of information requests that include the footage and working with the training and protection department to support learning from operational incidents and evidence for fire safety enforcement activities.It will be based at our headquarters in Wymondham, but will be a hybrid worker, working from home or the office to suit. There may be requirements to support and deliver training and exercises across the county.
