Start Date: ASAPOverview:We are working with a well-established organisation in Winsford, currently looking to appoint an experienced Finance Officer on a 6-month temporary contract. This role is ideal for a finance professional with strong ledger and reconciliation experience, who is confident supporting core financial operations and overseeing transactional processes within a team.Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain the organisation's financial ledger system, including interface management, coding structures, data accuracy, and workflow
- Complete all financial reconciliations in line with scheduled deadlines
- Support the preparation of management reports, statutory accounts, and budget-related information
- Supervise and provide leadership to Finance Assistants, including performance management and day-to-day support
- Oversee creditors, debtors, and banking processes liaise with banking providers as required
- Support compliance with the Construction Industry Scheme (CIS), including the completion of relevant returns
- Contribute to improvements in financial systems, controls, and procedures
- Provide guidance and training to colleagues to help embed financial best practices
- Liaise with auditors and provide supporting financial information as needed
- AAT qualified (or equivalent experience)
- Proven experience working in a finance function
- Strong understanding of financial systems, including reconciliations, purchase/sales ledgers, and banking processes
- Skilled in the use of Microsoft Excel and other standard Office applications
