Notes: Consultant radiologist to support breast
Cross-site- To cover existing absence then staff member is leaving the Trust in March
- To help support 2WW cancer pathway referral and interventional clinics only. 2WW currently booking on day 23. Target is day 14.
- Loss of 1 Consultant equates to:
- Equivalent of one whole 2WW clinic = 25 patients
- 6 Magseed (pre-theatre localisation) slots per week = 6 patients
- One session of Interventional cases =5 patients
- 2 sessions of breast screening programme (BSP) film reading = 4 hours (approx. 200 clients)
- 1 session of surveillance image reading = 2 hours
- And the additional loss of management and leadership tasks
- BSP reading will be covered by existing staff
