Rotating shifts: 6am-2pm / 2pm-10pm / 10pm-6amAre you an experienced Mechanical Maintenance Technician seeking a long-term, permanent role within a stable company?
Our client, a well-established specialist in supplying products to the construction industry, is looking to strengthen their maintenance team with a skilled engineer.Main Responsibilities:
- Maintain and repair conveyor systems and associated production machinery
- Attend and resolve plant breakdowns quickly and effectively
- Carry out TPM/PPM activities to minimise downtime
- Undertake repairs, maintenance, and continuous improvements on plant equipment
- Support installation and improvement projects as required
- Work both independently and collaboratively as part of a skilled maintenance team
- Time-served technician with relevant Mechanical Engineering qualifications (City & Guilds Level 3 or equivalent)
- Strong industrial experience (medium to heavy environment preferred)
- Solid understanding of PLC systems (direct PLC work will be subcontracted)
- Competence in reading and interpreting engineering drawings
- Knowledge of AC & DC systems, single & three-phase electrics, and inverter drives is highly advantageous
- Electrical Engineering qualifications (City & Guilds, BTEC, NVQ Level 3) desirable
