- Under the guidance of the Field Operations Manager, support the design, configuration, and Installation of new projects.
- Provide pre-technical support to sales, activities could include site surveys, solution design, customer meetings, job costing, and negotiations with third parties.
- Completing installation of equipment on site, or where applicable supervising the sub-contractors while they undertake those installation tasks.
- Undertake field service tasks and maintenance activities i.e., calibrations, annual maintenance, and service.
- Ensure that faults are resolved within the agreed Service Level Agreement (SLA) and that the customer is regularly updated regarding progress.
- Ensure that assets are registered on the system and that asset status is correctly reported within the service management system.
- Ensure that faults are correctly recorded against assets.
- Ensure that work orders are completed within the agreed target SLA and that Field Service Reports (FSR's) are completed within service management system.
- Working with Account Management assist in managing the relationship with the customer to maintain a positive and professional image of Jenoptik.
- Compliance with company policies and procedures and follow the procedures as defined within the companies Quality Management System (QEMS) i.e., returns, stock management, incident reporting and updates, system calibrations, and risk assessments.
- Supervision of third-party contractors on-site.
- Return of faulty equipment service.
- Liaising with product engineering to feed back any fault, product enhancements, and design concerns to engineering.
- Action work tasks via service management tool.
- Recording of working time within the timesheet system.
- Documentation of site surveys.
- Production and review of technical specifications.
- Production of calibration certificates and site-specific data files.
- Successful security clearance and vetting is mandatory for this role.

- Good understanding of Health and Safety and its application to Highways environments [Essential].
- Some experience of camera-based Speed enforcement solutions and ANPR technologies [Desirable].
- Sound understanding of TCP/IP networking technologies including 3G/4G, wireless, routing, and fibre optics. [Desirable].
- IT literate with knowledge of PC configuration and communications [Desirable].
- Experience of a range of Windows OS and Linux [Desirable].
- Good understanding of Construction design management (CDM) [Desirable].
- A good working knowledge within the Highways environment [Desirable].
- Experience in preparing documentation [Essential]
- Good Microsoft Office skills [Essential]
- Awareness of Quality Management Systems and ISO9001 [Essential]
