- Care Delivery & Quality Assurance
- Deliver high-quality care to vulnerable adults with a wide range of needs in their own homes.
- Ensure care services exceed essential standards, following company policies and regulatory guidelines.
- Provide personal care and domestic support, maintaining clients' dignity and independence.
- Administer medication accurately and in line with procedures and documentation requirements.
- Identify and communicate any changes or concerns regarding clients to senior staff.
- Record each visit promptly and accurately in daily reports.
- Conduct quality assurance monitoring visits to clients' homes and report findings.
- Carry out assessments and reviews for new and existing care packages.
- Lead new care runs and transition them to designated staff once established.
- Leadership & Team Support
- Coach and support a team of care workers, ensuring high standards of service delivery.
- Provide shadowing opportunities and guidance for new starters.
- Conduct 'meet and greet' visits for new clients, establishing rapport and understanding their needs.
- Collaborate with healthcare and social care professionals as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
- Develop strong relationships with clients, families, and carers, ensuring open communication.
- Report any staff or client issues to the Service Coordinator.
- On-Call & Emergency Support
- Participate in the on-call rota, providing guidance outside of standard working hours.
- Cover office hours as requested to ensure smooth service operation.
- Respond promptly to any emergency care requirements.
- Compliance & Health & Safety
- Adhere to Health & Safety policies and ensure compliance among care workers.
- Maintain accurate records of all care activities.
- Ensure all care activities meet legal and regulatory requirements, including safeguarding and data protection.
- Other Duties
- Carry out additional responsibilities as required by management to support smooth service delivery.
- Experience in a senior care role, preferably within domiciliary/home care.
- NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care (or willingness to work towards it).
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Flexibility to work evenings and weekends.
- Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
- You mist be also able to pass an enhanced DBS check or have one currently otherwise this would come at a fee. Once in place this is then covered by the employer.
- Desirable:
- Previous experience as a Team Leader or similar supervisory role.
- Knowledge of regulatory standards and best practices in care.
