Production Supervisor – Food Manufacturing (4-Day Week)Location: Near Honiton, Devon

Hours: 4 days per week (40 hours over 4 shifts – shift pattern varies)About the RoleAn established and growing food manufacturer is looking for a skilled Production Supervisor to lead day-to-day factory operations within a BRC-accredited, food-safe environment. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone from the food industry to join a modern, progressive business offering a genuine 4-day working week.What You’ll Be Doing
  • Lead and supervise a team of 10–30 operatives across key production areas
  • Ensure production targets are met while maintaining high standards of hygiene, quality, and safety
  • Manage shift handovers, labour planning, training, and performance reviews
  • Maintain full compliance with BRCGS, GMP, and HACCP standards
  • Monitor and improve output, line efficiency, and downtime performance
  • Keep detailed and accurate batch records, traceability logs, and reporting documentation
  • Play a proactive role in continuous improvement projects, health & safety initiatives, and operator engagement
What We’re Looking ForEssential:
  • Proven supervisory experience in food manufacturing or a high-care production environment
  • Knowledge of BRC, HACCP, GMP, and food safety protocols
  • Good organisational and problem-solving skills with a hands-on approach
  • Ability to work across varying shift patterns (early, late, or rotating)
  • Strong leadership and communication abilities
Desirable:
  • Familiarity with RedZone or other OEE/KPI tracking systems
  • Understanding of LEAN or 5S methodologies
  • Level 3 Food Safety or Health & Safety certification
