Benefits: GOC & ABDO fees paid | CET courses | Free SpecsWe’re working in partnership with a highly respected, independent opticians with two practices in the Bristol area, to find a personable and experienced Dispensing Optician.With strong growth and a loyal patient base, this is your chance to join a patient-led, values-driven business that genuinely cares about clinical and customer excellence.This is a vital role in the team – ideal for a confident, qualified DO who enjoys working closely with both patients and colleagues. You'll become the lead DO in one of their increasingly growing practices, you will have the opportunity to help train and mentor others in a business where people come first.YOU MUST HAVE A MINIMUM OF 12 MONTHS EXPERIENCE AS A GOC REGISTERED DISPENSING OPTICIAN.IF NOT, YOUR APPLICATION WILL BE AUTOMATICALLY REJECTED.We’re looking for someone who is:
  • A qualified Dispensing Optician (GOC registered) – open to all experience levels
  • Personable, empathetic, and approachable, with great communication skills
  • A true team player who can also work independently and lead by example
  • Passionate about delivering a personalised, patient-first experience
  • Keen to help others grow, with a natural coaching or mentoring approach
  • Comfortable dispensing mid-to-high value eyewear (avg. £400–£450)

Key Responsibilities
  • Dispensing high-quality lenses (Essilor and others) and ensuring accurate individual measurements using high-end equipment.
  • Providing expert advice and guidance to patients on lens and frame choices.
  • Supporting, mentoring, and training Optical Assistants and pre-reg colleagues.
  • Assisting the directors in maintaining the high standards and culture of the business.
  • Being a friendly and professional face for patients, building rapport and trust.
Compensation & Benefits
  • Salary: up to £32,000 basic + generous bonus scheme (OTE £35,000+)
  • Bonuses: Earn a % on monthly sales exceeding £100k
  • Holidays: 28 days incl. bank holidays
