Technical Director – ProcessLocation: FlexibleThis is a unique and exciting opportunity for a Technical Director to join our Process team in the UK. Our diverse team comprises process scientists and engineers, and we are seeking an experienced leader with broad wastewater expertise (including biosolids) or clean water expertise.As Technical Director, you will play a key role in business growth, technical leadership, and the development of innovative design solutions. You will mentor and inspire our teams, uphold quality standards, and ensure projects align with client and Binnies objectives.Key ResponsibilitiesLead and deliver process design across a range of water and wastewater projects.Undertake feasibility studies, concept, preliminary, and detailed design for treatment processes.Act as a technical expert and mentor to the process team, fostering continuous professional development.Provide technical oversight and approval for design outputs.Ensure compliance with technical, safety, environmental, and sustainability standards.Support business development by contributing to proposals, bids, and client engagement.Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to deliver integrated solutions.Challenge and develop client technical standards where appropriate.Assist in recruitment, training, and capability growth within the team.Essential RequirementsRecognised technical leader with experience in water and/or wastewater treatment processes (including biosolids).Strong background in delivering process design for wastewater or clean water projects.Chartered status with a relevant degree (e.g., Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Water & Environmental Sciences).Proven leadership, mentoring, and stakeholder management skills.Excellent communication, planning, and problem-solving abilities.Flexible to travel to client sites and offices as required.#LI-HS1We develop intelligent solutions using our award-winning integrated planning and design approach to deliver functional infrastructure and lasting environmental and social legacies.
