- Process purchase invoices and ensure they are accurately recorded in the accounting system.
- Reconcile supplier statements and resolve any discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Assist with data entry tasks related to accounts payable and maintain accurate records.
- Liaise with suppliers to address queries and ensure smooth communication regarding payments.
- Utilise accounting software such as Sage, QuickBooks, or PeopleSoft for efficient ledger management.
- Support the finance team with month-end closing procedures and reporting.
- Analyse financial data as required to assist in decision-making processes.
- Previous experience in a similar role within accounts payable or purchase ledger is required.
- Proficiency in accounting software.
- Strong data entry skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to analyse financial information effectively and communicate findings clearly.
- Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
