- Event planning champion: Supporting Event Directors in defining and delivering the event-specific HSE concept within the Formula E HSE framework with a focus on risk profiling, mitigation, conducting HSE reviews, managing environmental operations (ISO14001), reviewing supplier and contractor RAMS, and leading HSE procurement.
- Onsite operational excellence: Prepare event safety, fire safety, construction and emergency plans, manage onsite HSE with local consultants, assist in risk assessments, conduct safety briefings, ensure ISO20121 compliance, guide environmental best practices, monitor site compliance, attend Event Control, investigate accidents, and prepare post-race safety reports.
- Financial acumen: Support the Senior HSE Manager and the Safety, Security and Resilience (SSR) Director to prepare and monitor spend for HSE race and central budgets, create purchase orders, track invoices and payments and prepare financial reports.
- Training & strategy: Support with staff training through in-house delivery and formal programs, assist in developing our HSE management strategies, contributing to the maintenance of our ISO45001 and ISO20121 certifications, and ensuring departmental process compliance.
- Business operations & risk management: Provide general operational support for the HSE management system by assisting with maintaining HSE standards, and support internal and external audits, prepare policies and procedures and conduct specific risk assessments for areas like hazardous substances, plant/machinery, race battery storage, and warehouse safety.
- International H&S environmental management: Experience in planning and managing health and safety and/or environmental aspects, preferably in events (including construction) on an international scale.
- H&S legislative acumen: Excellent knowledge of UK H&S legislation (required) and knowledge of international event H&S standards (desirable).
- ISO standards knowledge: Some knowledge of ISO standards ISO45001 and ISO14001 would be desirable.
- Proactive problem solver: Strong problem-solving abilities and exceptional organisational skills.
- Influential communication: Effective communicator with the ability to influence internal and external stakeholders.
