MEP Design Manager | 12 Month Contract | 1x per week in SomersetI am currently on the lookout for an individual who can manage the delivery of coordinated MEP design (Drawings, Models, Schedules) across all disciplines, ensuring quality, accuracy and alignment with project requirements.Key responsibilities:
  • Oversee and coordinate all MEP drawings/models
  • Ensure consistency in drawing standards, layering, symbols and output formatting
  • monitor drawing progress against the programme
Coordination
  • Facilitate coordination between different MEP disciplines and Architectural and Structrual teams
  • Use BIM platforms for clash detection and resolution
  • Lead internal coordination workshops
Team Management
  • Manage discipline leads and their drafting/engineering teams
  • Assign priorities, check workloads and resolve bottlenecks
  • Review and approve drawings/models before issues
Client & Stakeholder Liason
  • Act as the design-side counterpart to the clients Project Manager
  • Attend design coordination meetings
  • Report on design progress, issues and risks
Quality Assurance
  • Implement drawing production standards, QA checks and compliance
