We’re looking for someone steady, patient, and full of heart to join a fantastic SEND school as a Behavioural Support Assistant. You’ll be part of a close-knit team helping pupils with additional behavioural needs thrive in a structured, nurturing environment.What you'll be doing:Supporting students with behavioural, social or emotional challengesProviding consistent, 1:1 or small group support in classUsing de-escalation strategies and trauma-informed practiceWorking alongside teachers, SENCOs, and therapistsBuilding trust with young people who need it mostYou should have:Experience supporting children or young adults with SEND or behavioural needs (in schools, youth work, or care)A calm, confident approach (bonus points if you’re Thrive trained – if not, we’ll help you get there!)Great communication skills and a big dose of empathyWhy this role?
