Come and join us at Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust.We are working hard to ensure that all school aged children have access to Immunisations to protect them from vaccine preventable diseases.This role is community based supporting the clinical team at immunisation sessions. The successful candidate will need to have good communication skills. Be organised and be able to work autonomously as well as part of the team.The immunisation team administer vaccines in every school in Buckinghamshire and therefore the successful candidate will need to have a full driving licence and access to a car during the day with business insurance.The successful candidate will also be trained to administer nasal flu vaccine.Full training for the role will be given.Main duties of the jobPreparation of equipment and resources prior to the immunisation session, and transporting them to the school. Settingup & packing away afterwards.Attend school based immunisations sessions and support immunisation nurses and young people on the day of the immunisation.Liaising with school staff on day of immunisation, ensuring young people are brought down to be vaccinated in a timely way.Ensuring that valid consent is received from those young people without consent forms.
