🔹 Working Hours: Full-time (8:30am – 3:30pm)
🔹 Start Date: September 2025About the School & Role:
Based in Southampton, our Alternative Provision caters to primary and secondary students with social, emotional, and mental health challenges, including those displaying challenging behaviours. The successful Behaviour Support Assistant will work either 1-1 or within small groups to support both academic progress and emotional wellbeing, helping students overcome barriers to learning.Key Responsibilities:
✨ Providing tailored support for students with autism during lessons and activities
✨ Helping implement personalised behaviour and learning support plans
✨ Encouraging positive behaviour and social skills development
✨ Assisting with communication and sensory needs
✨ Building trusting relationships to foster independence and confidenceWhat We’re Looking For:
💙 Experience working with children or young people in an educational or similar setting
💙 Experience supporting pupils with SEND, SEMH, or behavioural needs
💙 Genuine enthusiasm for student development and well-being
💙 Resilience, patience, and adaptability in a dynamic environment
