Contract Type: Long Term | Temp to Perm | Daily Flexible SupplyAre you a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant with experience supporting children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)?
Prospero Teaching is working with a welcoming mainstream primary school in Hodge Hill, Birmingham, to recruit a SEN Teaching Assistant. You will work alongside the class teacher and SENCO to provide 1:1 and in-class support for pupils with additional needs, helping them to access the curriculum and thrive within the school environment.About the Role:
· Provide targeted support for children with SEND within a mainstream classroom
· Adapt activities to meet pupils’ individual learning and emotional needs
· Work collaboratively with the class teacher, SENCO, and external professionals
· Support a nurturing and inclusive learning environment
· Assist with the implementation of individual learning plans and EHCP targetsThe Ideal Candidate Will:
· Have previous experience supporting children with SEND in a school setting
· Have experience in a 1:1 role or similar
· Be patient, resilient, and empathetic
· Demonstrate a strong understanding of inclusive practices and SEN strategiesEssential Requirements:
· Right to Work in the UK
· A Level 2 Qualification in Teaching & Learning, or equivalent
· A valid Enhanced Child Barred List DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
· Two recent, child-related professional references (covering the last two years)
· A commitment to supporting the emotional, academic, and social development of children with SENDTo Apply:
