We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Bath and North East Somerset to assist with the appointment of a Business Support Officer, on a 3-month contract, highly likely to be extended at clients discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.Rate of Pay: £128.59 - £169.41 per dayHours Per Week :15.00Summary:We are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Business Support Officer to provide administrative support to the Brokerage Officers within Adult Social Care. The postholder will assist with sourcing and purchasing care provision for Childrens placements, completing due diligence checks for social work teams, and undertaking a variety of administrative tasks to ensure efficient service delivery. This is a part-time, temporary position for an initial 3-month period, working 15 hours per week spread across at least 4 days between Monday-Friday, 9am5pm.Responsibilities:
  • Provide administrative support to Brokerage Officers in sourcing and purchasing care provision for Childrens placements.
  • Carry out due diligence checks and process requests from social work teams in line with council policies and safeguarding requirements.
  • Maintain accurate records, databases, and documentation to support placement processes.
  • Communicate effectively with internal teams, external providers, and stakeholders to ensure smooth coordination of services.
  • Assist with monitoring and reporting on care provision to support service planning and delivery.
Qualifications:
  • Good standard of education (minimum GCSEs or equivalent, including English and Maths).
Experience:
  • Previous experience in an administrative, business support, or clerical role.
  • Experience of managing data, maintaining records, and producing accurate documentation.
  • Experience working in a customer or client-facing environment.
Requirements:
  • Strong administrative skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook) and case management/recording systems.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
