Job Description:Wood is currently seeking an Engineering Applications Support Engineer (S3D Admin) on an agency basis with proficiency in SmartPlant 3D, SmartPlant Review, SQL Server, and Oracle Databases. This role, based in our Reading office, is ideal for individuals with experience in supporting engineering applications within an FEED/EPC/PMC contracting environment. The responsibilities for this position will encompass Database Analyst, SmartPlant Review Administrator, and S3D Administrator roles.Responsibilities:
  • Engage in customer-facing activities, including system setup, administration, and problem resolution, utilizing application technologies to enhance engineering design activities' efficiency.
  • Implement and support engineering design applications.
  • Administer and configure 3D modeling tools.
  • Administer and configure SQL and Oracle databases.
  • Assist in the development and customization of system deliverables such as drawings/reports based on project requirements.
  • Collaborate with internal and external business customers to analyze and deliver system requirements.
  • Contribute to problem diagnosis and resolution.
  • Ensure thorough testing of application developments or changes.
  • Develop systems procedures.
  • Monitor system performance to ensure the smooth operation of deployed systems.
Qualifications:
  • HNC or equivalent preferred.
  • Project experience in Intergraph Smart 3D and SmartPlant Review Administration, including customization of reference data (Catalogue), drawings reports, and essential SQL Server and Oracle Database Administration.
  • Hands-on experience in 3D design with SmartPlant 3D.
  • Preferred experience in an energy engineering environment.
