Job Description:Ophthalmology Diagnostic Technician | Spire Shawfair Park, Edinburgh | 12 month Fixed Term ContractSpire Shawfair Park Hospital in Edinburgh has an exciting opportunity for an Ophthalmology Diagnostic Technician to join their experienced and dynamic team, on a 12 month fixed term contract.Duties and responsibilities
  • Deliver and maintain high professional standards of ophthalmic imaging and diagnostic services to patients by performing, verifying and recording results of a specialist clinical diagnostic imaging service
  • Responsible for the safe use of specialist equipment and adhere to the health and safety policies
  • Maintain patient confidentiality at all times
  • Ensure environment and equipment is clean, fit for purpose and ready to use
Who we are looking for
  • The ideal candidate will have previous experience working within an ophthalmic clinical setting
  • Previous ophthalmic diagnostic experience is desirable but not essential as full training will be provided, a keen desire to learn is required
  • Ability to work independently and within the time constraints of a busy clinic to ensure optimal patient flow
  • Excellent verbal and communication skills and be able to pay close attention to detail
  • Be comfortable with Microsoft office and computerised systems for data input and review
  • A passion for customer service
