Position - Mechanical Supervisor
Location - Wilton, Redcar
Project -Shutdown
Duration - 4 Weeks
Start - 15th September 2025Responsibilities:Responsibilities for Internal Candidates
- Oversee and coordinate mechanical maintenance activities during the shutdown
- Develop and implement detailed work plans and schedules for mechanical teams
- Ensure strict adherence to safety protocols and industry regulations
- Conduct daily safety briefings and site inspections
- Manage and direct a team of mechanical technicians and craftspeople
- Perform quality control checks and documentation
- Troubleshoot complex mechanical issues and provide technical solutions
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and equipment status
- Coordinate with other discipline supervisors to ensure smooth project execution
- Proven experience in shutdown management and team leadership
- Advanced knowledge of mechanical systems, equipment, and maintenance techniques
- Comprehensive understanding of HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) regulations
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to work flexible shifts and in a high-pressure environment
- NVQ level 3 in Mechanical Fitting
- Previous experience in Teesside industrial sites
- Certifications in advanced mechanical maintenance or shutdown management
- Familiarity with advanced diagnostic and predictive maintenance technologies
- Proficient in mechanical system diagnostics
- Understanding of predictive and preventative maintenance strategies
- Experience with complex industrial equipment maintenance
- Competent in using maintenance management software and documentation systems
- Proactive and detail-oriented approach
