We are currently recruiting Cover Supervisors to work across a number of well-regarded Ofsted Good and Outstanding secondary schools in Wigan.This is an ideal role for anyone considering a future in teaching or education – no formal teaching qualification is required, and full training is provided.What is a Cover Supervisor?A Cover Supervisor is responsible for supervising pre-set lessons in the absence of the regular class teacher. You won’t be expected to teach new content, but you’ll ensure students stay on task, follow the lesson plan, and maintain a positive classroom environment.What You’ll Do:Deliver pre-prepared lesson materials across various subjectsManage classroom behaviour and support students where necessaryProvide feedback to teaching staff on student progress and conductCover lessons for short-term teacher absences across KS3 and KS4Ideal Candidates Will:Be confident managing groups of young people in a professional settingHave strong communication and organisational skillsBe adaptable and willing to work in different schools across WiganHave experience working with young people (e.g. youth work, coaching, mentoring) – desirable but not essentialHold an enhanced DBS (or be willing to apply for one)What’s On Offer:A full day of Cover Supervisor training before your first placementOpportunities to work in Good and Outstanding schools across WiganFlexible work to suit your availability –
