- Hospital and Community Support: Provide a specialist mental health social work service to individuals in hospital and collaborate with other agencies to ensure a smooth transition to community-based care upon discharge.
- Care Management: Undertake comprehensive care management duties for people with mental illness, assessing their needs and coordinating appropriate support.
- Statutory Duties: Fulfil statutory mental health officer duties under mental health, incapacity, and criminal justice legislation, ensuring all legal requirements are met.
- Multi-agency Working: Work collaboratively with health services and other agencies to deliver a coordinated and holistic approach to care.
- A recognised Social Work qualification (e.g., BA/MA in Social Work, DipSW).
- Qualified Mental Health Officer
- Registration with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) A full driving licence and access to a vehicle.
