
Laboratory Technician

- Good general standard of education in Science, English and Maths.
- Experience in a similar working environment within a UKAS accredited laboratory (beneficial, but not essential as full training will be given)
- Ability to follow instructions and procedures.
- Conducting microbiological analysis of food samples using a variety of methods and techniques, including PCR, OBOP, and traditional culture methods
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of all tests and results
- Participating in quality control and quality assurance activities to ensure the accuracy and reliability of test results
- Adhering to all laboratory safety protocols and maintaining a clean and organized work environment
- Collaborating with other team members to ensure efficient and effective laboratory operations
- Keeping up-to-date with the latest advances in microbiology and food testing methodologies
