Contract: Full-time, PermanentThe OpportunityI'm currently recruiting for a Maintenance Engineer to join a well-established manufacturer operating within the fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) sector. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a hands-on engineering position where no two days are the same, with a mix of preventative maintenance, reactive fault-finding, and continuous improvement projects.Role PurposeYou'll play a key part in supporting production workflow and ensuring the smooth running of machinery across the site. The role involves installing, maintaining, and repairing equipment, as well as carrying out general facility maintenance when required-all while maintaining the highest standards of safety and quality.Key ResponsibilitiesInstall, maintain and repair machinery and equipmentDeliver preventative maintenance on production and facility systemsTroubleshoot and resolve machine faults independentlyAssist with installation and commissioning of new equipmentRefine and improve existing maintenance processes and proceduresEnsure accurate documentation of all maintenance and repair workWork effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environmentUphold excellent standards of housekeeping across the siteDrive a strong culture of safety, reporting incidents and promoting best practice in line with Health & Safety legislationContribute to a positive team environment by demonstrating professionalism and supporting colleaguesCandidate Profile
