- Alongside the Assistant Manager and/or Store Manager - leading the store team to follow store policies, standards and practices.
- Taking responsibility for the store in the absence of other leaders (includes keyholder responsibility).
- Be a positive role model to the team and represent our values of Ambition, Customer First, Teamwork and Integrity.
- Train, manage the workload and support your team, whilst being hands on in store - ensuring you work together to achieve the right resources in the right place at the right time to deliver the best customer experience.
- Support the Store Manager to maximise store performance which includes understanding and implementing the store plan and priorities.
- Alongside the store team, actively promote and get involved in initiatives to support the local community.
- You may be required to cover the Post Office when required as part of this role.
Joining us as Team Leader, the minimum criteria you'll need is:
- You must be aged 18 years or over (for store legislative requirements) along with previous store retail experience, of which at least 6 months have been at a supervisory level leading a team of people in a customer-focused environment.
- A natural ability to listen, interact and communicate with customers and team members
- Target driven to help to store achieve their business plans/priorities and be focused on continuous improvement.
- Be able to inspire everyone to do their best for each other and the customer.
