- Routine planned maintenance and maintenance requests to minimise downtime and ensure optimal performance
- Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, and automation issues promptly to maintain production flow.
- Conduct breakdown repairs of plant and site service equipment utilising problem solving to drive 100-year fix mentality
- Adherence to Good Manufacturing Practice
- Identify opportunities for process optimisation and implement solutions to enhance efficiency and reduce waste through effective use of the change management procedure
- Participate in continuous improvement and capital projects
- Ensure the upkeep of spare parts inventory
- Upkeep of all engineering technical documentation and capture accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment performance, and repairs.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations, ensuring a safe working environment for all employees.
- Support and coach relevant employees in all aspects of shared maintenance
- To undertake training and up skilling programs as directed by business needs.
- Deliver effective communication at:
- Make decisions within the framework of site policies and compliance to customer codes of practice.
- Participate in root cause analysis and problem-solving activities
- Provide the engineering manager and planner with required records and paperwork of all completed jobs.
- Recognised Engineering Apprenticeship (electrical or mechanical or Multi skilled).
- ONC or BTEC equivalent
- HNC (desirable)
- Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and automation systems used in food manufacturing.
- Problem-solving and analytical skills to quickly diagnose and resolve technical issues
- High attention to detail to ensure precision in maintenance and repairs to uphold quality standards.
- Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members and report issues.
- Proficiency in using maintenance management software.
- Specific understanding of health and safety regulations related to engineering and food production.
- Knowledge of continuous improvement techniques.
- Delivering planned and unplanned works in a high pace environment
- Knowledge of site production processes
