NSB Recruitment are working in partnership with a leading environmental consultancy to recruit an enthusiastic and driven Environmental Technician to join a growing specialist team. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in the delivery of contaminated land investigations and environmental incident response work across the UK.This home-based position offers the chance to work on a diverse range of projects, primarily focusing on domestic oil spills and the subsequent development of effective remediation strategies. You’ll be joining a well-respected organisation at a time of rapid growth, with genuine opportunities for career development and technical progression.Key Responsibilities:
  • Responding to environmental incidents in both commercial and rural settings
  • Carrying out contaminated land investigations and developing remediation strategies
  • Conducting environmental monitoring and sampling of soil, water, and air
  • Preparing clear and concise technical reports for clients
  • Liaising with clients, contractors, and internal teams to provide effective technical responses
  • Supporting health & safety best practice through risk assessments and on-site management
  • Managing waste and ensuring full Duty of Care compliance
  • Maintaining equipment and managing stock levels
  • Incident response and occasional stay-aways as required
About You:We’re looking for a self-motivated and solutions-driven individual with a strong work ethic and the flexibility to travel across England, Wales, and occasionally Scotland.
  • Excellent communication and report writing skills
  • Confident working independently and remotely
  • Strong organisational and time management abilities
  • Proactive and practical approach to problem-solving
  • Competent with Microsoft Office and general IT systems
  • Full clean UK driving licence
  • Must be based within the Midlands or within one hour’s drive
Desirable Criteria:
  • Experience in managing domestic oil spill investigations
  • CSCS Card (or willingness to obtain)
  • First Aid qualification
