- Analytical method development and optimisation:
- Lead the design and optimization of analytical methods to characterize Biomolecules and VLPs (Virus Like Particles).
- Data Analysis: Utilize your expertise to analyze complex analytical data, generate meaningful insights, and provide recommendations for process improvement and product development.
- Instrumentation: Manage and maintain state-of-the-art analytical instrumentation and equipment, ensuring their proper function and calibration.
- Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of experimental procedures, results, and reports, adhering to regulatory and compliance standards.
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including research scientists, engineers, and regulatory affairs, to support research and development efforts.
- Training: training and upskilling other scientists
- Upholding health and safety requirements
- Other related duties/responsibilities as required or assigned by the supervisor.
- Keep up to date with developments in the field.
- Serve as a consultant within the organisation sharing your expertise on Analytics, acting as a technical expert advising and sharing scientific technical expertise with top management, customers and product management on applications and research.
- In-depth knowledge of various analytical techniques for biological molecules such as mAbs, proteins, nucleic acids, or viral vectors.
- In depth knowledge of analytical HPLC including analytical SEC (Size Exclusion Chromatography), analytical ion exchange and reverse phase. With proven experience of running, setting up and troubleshooting these methods.
- Extensive experience in Mass Spec
- Proficiency in data analysis software and statistical tools.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

- Ability to work on multiple projects at the same time.
- Ability to set up and optimise analytical methods for use in an R&D setting.
- Design of Experiment
- Determination of AAV (Adeno Associated Virus) full-empty ratio.
- Experience with SPR, DLS (Dynamic Light Scattering), IEF, Protein melting temperature determination, accelerated stability studies for proteins, capillary electrophoresis.
- Hands on experience of analysis of DNA, Viruses and Virus like particles would be seen as an advantage.
- Keen to learn and enthusiastic with an interest in furthering Bioproduction through the innovation of the next generation of chromatography tools.
