Facade Estimator | Rochdale | Monday – Thursday 8:30am – 5:30pm and Friday 8:30am – 2:30pm | £28,000-£40,000 depending on experienceOur client is a leading designer and manufacturer of aluminium rainwater systems. They specialise in calculating rainwater drainage to optimise gutter/rainwater pipe combinations.The Estimating team is central to the business and coordinates with all departments in the company from design to operations and manufacture and ultimately accounts.Are you the right person for the job?
  • Experience within the building envelope or construction products industry is essential.
  • Experience with AutoCAD is advantageous
  • Effective communication skills – both written and oral
  • Attention to detail – ‘right-first-time’ approach
  • Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office, strong IT skills, and with ability to quickly learn new systems
  • Ability to organise self, prioritise workload/activity to meet deadlines
  • Ability to maintain the security of accounting information using passwords and other appropriate security measures
  • Supports colleagues and collaborates to achieve results
  • Shows integrity in their approach
  • Delivers excellent service, identifying and meeting or exceeding customer expectations
What will your role look like?Our client is offering the opportunity for a highly motivated and experienced person to join the Estimating Team. You will be responsible for the following:
  • Consider general engineering/manufacturing mathematical and scientific principles, methods, techniques, symbols, and calculations as required for preparing quotations for the range of systems supplied
  • Experience with estimating for large projects including rainscreen cladding
  • Utilise your knowledge and experience of Aluminium and Steel alloy properties and their characteristics
  • Problem solving
  • Determining client’s requirements through detailed analysis of construction drawings, bills, and verbal communications
  • Handling incoming enquiries
  • Preparing and submitting quotations
  • Producing manufacturing drawings and schedules
  • Document & data control
  • Maintaining and developing existing customer accounts
  • Liaising with customers, suppliers and internal departments
  • Increasing sales across product types by building strong relationships with new clients
  • Researching material and labour costs
  • Good understanding of British standards and building regulations
