Washing, Shipping & Laboratory Assistant– £23,600 - £24,500 – ReadingThe RoleAre you ready to embark on an exciting journey in a dynamic laboratory environment? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you.We are a research and development company, looking to appoint a proactive and reliable Washing, Shipping & Laboratory Assistant to our growing team.The successful candidate will play a vital role in maintaining and supporting our washing activities within the laboratory as well as additional shipping and packaging activities. This person will also perform basic level laboratory activities in support of our operations. Your commitment to excellence will help us meet our goals and ensure the smooth operation of our facilities.Key Responsibilities:
  • Washing up of laboratory glassware and equipment (e.g. large vessels, beakers, metal stirrers)
  • Preparation of glassware and equipment for oven drying.
  • Transfer of glassware and equipment to workstations.
  • Storage of glassware and equipment at appropriate areas
  • Sterilisation of bottles for products.
  • Labelling of bottles.
  • Making of boxes and preparation for shipments.
  • Support of routine maintenance activities.

  • An individual with experience in a similar role is preferred.
  • Strong sense of urgency and able to drive work forward to meet targets and timelines.
  • A reliable individual with strong attention to detail.
  • Have some familiarity with science-based environment and quality processes.
  • Ability to follow instructions and help with various tasks, as needed.
