- Monitoring a bank of up to 15 screens, constantly monitoring the live pictures that come in from the surveillance cameras and alarm handling.
- monitoring anyone acting suspiciously, and alerting security staff or police if you see an act of theft, vandalism or any other crime Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter.
- Maintain a safe and secure environment by patrolling and monitoring premises and personnel.
- Conduct safety and security procedures, adhering to site-specific policies and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Complete reports by recording observations, information, occurrences, and surveillance activities.
- Deal with any difficult situations that arise in a safe and professional manner.
- Tasks vary greatly and include, but are not limited to, mobile patrols, foot patrols, gatehouse duties, vehicle searches.
- SIA CCTV Licence essential
- SIA Door Supervisor Licence preferred but not essential (if not held to be willing to attain DS Licence)
- Own transport & Full UK Driving Licence
- Excellent communication skills
- Proven experience as Security Officer & Weighbridge Operator
- Knowledge of legal guidelines for area security and public safety
- Familiarity with report writing
- Excellent surveillance and observation skills
- Flexible/Available at short notice
