Job Title: Resource Planning Manager
Location: London, Elephant and Castle (blended working available after settling-in period)
Salary: Circa. £80,000 + bonusOverview:
We’re hiring a Resource Planning Manager to take ownership of strategic workforce planning and delivery across our business. This is a step-up role, requiring a confident communicator with the gravitas to work closely with C-suite leaders and senior stakeholders across the business.
You’ll play a central role in developing workforce plans, managing strategic submissions, and leading project-based activity — ensuring the right skills and resources are in place to meet long-term business needs.Key Benefits:

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the development, management and evolution of Strategic Workforce Planning models to support long-term resource forecasting.
  • Build strong working relationships with C-suite and senior stakeholders, ensuring workforce planning aligns with evolving business strategy.
  • Write and deliver business cases, regulatory submissions, and board-level reports that clearly articulate workforce needs, gaps, and solutions.
  • Manage workforce planning projects to tight deadlines, ensuring delivery within agreed timeframes and quality standards.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (HRBPs, Strategy, Technical Training, Finance) to gather inputs, validate assumptions, and support alignment across departments.
  • Own and deliver the Annual Long-Term Manpower Planning (LTMP) and input into Financial Planning and Regulatory Return processes.
  • Research labour market trends and workforce data (internal and external) to inform strategic workforce recommendations.
  • Maintain strong external relationships with EU Skills, the National Skills Academy for Power, and other key partners.
  • Drive continuous improvement in data, systems, and processes related to workforce planning and capacity forecasting.
Skills & Experience Required:
Essential:
  • Strong experience in resource or workforce planning within a large, complex and regulated environment (ideally utilities, energy, or infrastructure).
  • Proven experience engaging with executive leadership, including C-suite, with confidence and clarity.
  • Comfortable writing and presenting formal business submissions, proposals, and reports to senior stakeholders.
  • Excellent project management skills – able to manage multiple initiatives and deliverables under pressure.
  • Highly numerate, with the ability to analyse complex data and draw strategic conclusions.
  • Strong Excel and data modelling skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Collaborative approach with the ability to influence and engage at all levels.
Desirable:
  • SAP or HRIS experience
  • Experience working within or alongside regulated industries
  • Understanding of financial planning and budgeting processes
  • Familiarity with workforce data tools or scenario modelling systems
